Samsung LCD TV

December 1st, 2008 by aitti in Freeblog · No Comments

What is the LCD Touch of Color anyway? You may ask. Is it a publicity stunt of Samsung, a technological innovation, or simply a marketing strategy thought by Samsung? Maybe we can say that it is a little bit of each.

The competition in the market in LCD TV has been increasing over the years. One must stand out in the market to get noticed. Samsung has thought of a brilliant plan to do this. They introduced Touch of Color to the market. This proved to be successful because they turned out to be a hit among the consumers as they are wildly sought after. The design of Touch of Color is unique. It has a distinctive amber color which is combined with the conventional black for an elegant and attractive appearance. People want their television to still look attractive like a piece of art even though it is not being used. Other manufacturers are expected to follow this trend with their own unique features in the years to come.

The design of Touch of Color is made for the outside of the TV. It does not make any sound or light up when turned on. But of course, the more important thing there is whether your TV will perform brilliantly when you turn it on. Samsung does not let you down. It offers 1080 pixel picture for an ultimate HD resolution which delivers to you clear and crisp images capturing the real meaning of high definition TV.

Response time offered by Samsung LCD TV is 4ms and the frame rate is 120 Hz. Their Auto Motion Plus technology has the ability to double the frame rate from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. This technology allows the TV to alter between framed for a smooth shifting. This makes it great for watching sports or other shows and movies which have many fast moving actions since this model of LCD handles motion well unlike the earlier models.

Samsung TV offers a contrast ratio of 50,000:1, a great improvement from the previous year 25,000:1. Contrast ratio establishes the ability of the TV to generate dark blacks or dazzling whites. Having a higher contrast ratio will help avoid an image that is washed out which can be observed in TVs that have lesser contrast ratio.

Using a built-in Ethernet port, access to free RSS new, stocks, weather, sports, and many more is made possible by InfoLink.

The design of Touch of Color is sure to be a big hit with consumers. This might probably start a drift towards having TV as an art piece instead of just a simple TV. The superb design of Samsung’s Touch of Color will certainly be worth your money.

Fashionable Watches

December 1st, 2008 by aitti in Freeblog · No Comments

Watches in the UK have become more and more popular in recent years. This is because the demand for watches has grown. This demand has come from the surge in people wanting to look good all of the time. People everywhere want to walk down the street and feel like they have a lot going for themselves. There are many things they can do to help them feel better about themselves but one thing they can certainly do is buy a really nice watch. By doing this they not only feel good but they look good too.

There are many watches consumers can buy. Thousands of watches are manufactured every year. Not all watches make it to the shelves however, as retailers simply will not put watches on display that they feel may be difficult to sell. Strong brands such as DKNY, Tag Heuer, Seiko and Hamilton will always be put on display, firstly because of the brand name but also because each and every watch is worth putting on display.

The bigger and more established a brand is the more likely it is that consumers will take notice. This is because a brand name offers consistency and a reputable image that consumers connect with. In the last few decades other watch brands that perhaps have not had the long and established history as some of their competitors have had, have forced their way into the market due to quality of their watches but also because of the look and feel of the watch. These watches quickly become very fashionable and demand increases rapidly.

Consumers are always craving the latest watches. If these watches are worn by celebrities, then the demand becomes even higher. People want to look and feel good all the time and what better way to do this than by wearing the watch of their favourite Hollywood celebrity. Popular stars such as David Beckham and Jennifer Lopez are great role models and many people aspire to be them. If they wear nice, exquisite, fashionable watch, chances are many other consumers will too.

There are many opportunities throughout the year when consumers buy watches. This may be for them or it may be for a friend or a loved one. Either way, the more fashionable a watch is the more likely it is going to be bought. Retailers will do their best to keep stock levels of these fashionable watches high to make sure as they never run out. That said, if a watch is popular enough and people think the watch is fashionable chances consumers will snap it up very quickly.

Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500

December 1st, 2008 by aitti in Freeblog · No Comments

The 46″ Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500 LCD HDTV is a great set just like the smaller 40″ 40V2500. The picture is excellent out of the box but some recommend turning off the vivid setting and set it to neutral and then tweak the HDTV to perfection. The colors are incredible and breathtaking. Playing video games with the Xbox 360 or PS3 is beautiful and watching Blu-Ray movies in 1080p is just jaw dropping. There is a reason why Sonys cost more and the difference in quality is worth the difference in price.

The price for the Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500 LCD HDTV has dropped considerably as of this review so it can now compete against other brands if you’re on a budget. If you’re hesitant to pay for the more expensive and elegant XBR models, then the V-Series is the model to get. The XBR definitely looks better aesthetically, but performance wise you will not notice much difference unless you’re an HDTV expert. The 46V2500 uses the same LCD panel as the XBR series.

Watching HD Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500 LCD HDTV set is amazing, but most programs have not made the leap to HD yet. However, standard display is not bad and watchable compared to other HDTVs where it is absolutely horrible to look at anything non-HD. This set should hold you over until you get HD programming or until most programs switch to 1080p.

There have been some complaints on “fogginess” or “clouds” when the TV is displaying dark scenes. Some people cannot stand it and it is a deal breaker for them, but some people can tolerate it and consider it only a minor annoyance that is outweighed by the stunning picture quality. This problem does not seem to be appearing on every KDL-46V2500 however because a lot of people haven’t noticed the problem. It has also been reported that the fogginess has been fixed on models manufactured after December 6th 2007 so you should be fine if you buy a brand new one now, but double check to make sure.

The internal sound from the KDL-46V2500 is nice and clear and very good for a TV which is rare. The menu is also nice and intuitive and the remote control is okay, but may feel a little cheap. You’ll most likely get a universal remote anyway. Who has time to juggle multiple remote controls?

If you plan to watch DVD’s on the Bravia KDL-46V2500 LCD HDTV, I suggest you get an up-converting DVD player like Sony’s DVP-NS77H/B 1080p Upscaling DVD Player with HDMI Output. The quality is so much better than regular DVD players and almost looks HD. I also suggest watching DVDs with widescreen format instead of fullscreen because the TV will distort and stretch the image and there are no settings around it.

Overall, the Sony Bravia KDL-46V2500 is a high quality LCD HDTV with jaw dropping visuals. Playing video games and watching movies will constantly wow you and your friends. If you’re looking for a great LCD TV at the right price, this set may be it. You’ll get Sony quality television with price that can compete with the Samsungs and Toshibas. I definitely recommend this.

Samsung 32 HD LCD TV

November 19th, 2008 by aitti in Freeblog · No Comments

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. LCD TVs are quite famous over the recent years due to their fault-less clarity and picture perfectness. Usually it is said that LCD has a greater lifespan than plasma TVs. But that does not mean that LCD TVs do not undergo wear and tear at all and work all through one’s life. They too can undergo problems and other faults just like any other electronic device does. They generally work based upon the twisting and untwisting of the crystal.

The normal lifespan of LCD TVs is said to come to approximately 60, 000 hours. Some manufacturers also claim that their LCD TVs can last up to 80, 000 hours, when used under controlled conditions, like the room temperature, the other climatic conditions, the maintenance conditions etc. The display effect of these LCD TVs would definitely reduce as time passes by, because they are constantly being lit by powerful lights that could dim, just like the other electronic devices, over a period of time. This results in the picture getting dim as time goes by. Hence, the most important thing to be considered in an LCD TV is the actual lifespan of the light source of the LCD. There should be good warrantee provided for the light source of the LCD TV as this is the mean thing that controls the picture effects and clarity.

The quality of this light source is important to maintain the perfect white balance in the LCD TV. The back lighting bulb should be definitely of higher quality for the longevity of the TV. So it is better paying more for the branded ones that offer exchange or maintenance warranty rather than the cheap ones that do not have any warranties on them. Also the contrast levels have to be taken care of. The more the contrast levels, for a longer period of time, the faster the TV would age off. The lower the ambient light levels, the more the life of the light source.

Some Sharp LCD TVs provide separate units that have the light source, whereas the others have the light source placed along with the other units and so if the light source is out, the whole LCD TV becomes a waste. The main thing to be considered here and always to be remembered is the warranty of the back light. Unlike the other types of television the LCD TVs cannot be used for the whole lifetime because of its limited lifetime. The light beams are the main source used in the working of an LCD TV. When compared with the plasma television the LCD TVs have a short lifetime and the maintenance of the device is also easy when compared with the normal televisions.
